Asylum / CONFERENCE Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea and European External Action ServiceKatharina Bamberg spoke on the intersections of EU migration policy and foreign policy during the opening panel of the fifth Korea-EU International Conference on Middle Eastern and North African Affairs in Seoul. The conference was organised jointly by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea and the European External Action Service. It convened senior delegations, prominent experts, and policymakers from a wide range of countries and international organizations and discussions centred on Korea-EU cooperation in the MENA region and insights from the EU’s migration policy.

Asylum / WORKSHOP Current trends in the area of asylumOlivia Sundberg Diez participated in the European Asylum Support Office (EASO)’s workshop on ‘Current trends in the area of asylum and related analytical interests’, organised by EASO’s Information Analysis Sector together with the EASO Consultative Forum. The workshop contributed to the 2019 Annual Report on the Situation of Asylum in the European Union.
