The Czech EU Council Presidency has been the Energy Presidency. In light of the sharp inflation that the EU is facing as a result of the war in Ukraine, Prague had to coordinate the negotiations between the 27 to agree on a common response to the energy crisis. The EU’s support to Ukraine continued to be a cornerstone of the EU activity, and the defence and security of the continent have been at the centre of the agenda, being the celebration of the first meeting of the European Political Community, one of the milestones of the Presidency. During the Czech Presidency, different advances in the enlargement dossier have been made.
Between July and December 2022, the EPC teamed up with the Czech think tank EUROPEUM and organized public events on the European Political Community and the overall outcome of the Presidency.
