The EPC is pleased to announce the appointment of Emma Woodford as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO). Emma is an experienced leader and has had a distinguished international career in management, campaigning and public health policy.

As Chief Operating Officer, she will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and help define and implement the organisation's strategic direction. She will also be instrumental in the EPC's efforts to renew and expand its diversity and equality policies.

"I am eager to get started at the EPC. I admire its thought leadership, the breadth of topics the team covers, and its ability to develop solutions that cut across different policy fields. Following a tumultuous time, the organisation is looking to see what's next, and I am immensely excited to help guide it through this transformational moment," Emma said of her appointment.

Before joining the EPC, Emma held several management positions in the non-profit sector in Asia and Europe, including at the European Oncology Nursing Society, European Cancer Leagues, and the European Public Health Alliance (EPHA). A passionate advocate for a more social and inclusive Europe, she has supported numerous organisations to realise their strategic visions.

"We are very excited to welcome Emma to the EPC," says Chief Executive Officer Fabian Zuleeg. "With her extensive experience and knowledge, and her track record in innovative leadership, she will bring new energy to our mission and take the work of EPC to new horizons."
