The EPC is delighted to invite you to this in-person Policy Briefing, which will follow the official launch of the European Commission’s 2024 Enlargement Package. Gert Jan Koopman, Director-General of DG NEAR, will unpack the Commission’s new Enlargement Package following its publication on 30 October.
This Policy Briefing will address questions surrounding the gap between the expectations and reality for EU aspirants including the Western Balkans, Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, and Türkiye. The event will also address the existing challenges that the EU needs to tackle in order to successfully deliver enlargement, particularly linked to the internal reform of the Union.
