Ukraine is undertaking electricity market reforms with the EU’s support through the Association Agreement and the Memorandum of Understanding on Strategic Partnership in Energy. The ultimate goal is to foster Ukraine’s integration into the EU energy market, improve its energy security, and reduce CO2 emissions. This Policy Dialogue, organised with the kind support of the Mission of Ukraine to the European Union abd DTEK, provided a comprehensive overview of the state of play in the electricity sector in Ukraine, which is striving to increase efficiency and to leverage in the most optimal way the country’s domestic energy resources to ensure a smooth energy transition.
