Sixty Minute Briefing
Brexit and beyond - Where next for Scottish-EU relations?

Tuesday, 11 June 2019

At this Policy Briefing, Scotland’s First Minister set out her position on the prospects for EU-Scottish relations in the context of Brexit and the independence question. Nicola Sturgeon called for a Scottish independence referendum by 2021 if Brexit goes ahead, recalling that Scotland voted by 62% to remain in the EU in the 2016 referendum, and demanded that Scotland’s citizens should have a choice, rather than be taken out of the EU against their will.
