Katharina Michalsky
Research Assistant
Katharina Michalsky​ is a Research Assistant in the European Politics and Institutions programme at the European Policy Centre.

Before joining the EPC, Katharina gained professional experience during internships at KAS Brussels and in the office of Carsten Schneider, the now State Minister of Germany for the new federal states, during the 2021 election campaign in Germany.

She is a recent graduate of the University of Erfurt in Germany, where she studied International Relations and History. Katharina has a strong interest in international security, as evidenced by her bachelor thesis research on the significance of drones in the Nagorno-Karabakh war. During her studies, she was also part of the Amnesty International student group and organised seminars on human rights topics.
