Katharina Bamberg
Policy Analyst
Katharina Bamberg is Policy Analyst in the European Migration and Diversity Programme. Her main areas of research and expertise include strategic communication on migration; the external dimension of the EU’s migration policies and the interaction between migration and foreign policy in cooperation with third countries; and regular pathways for refugees, in particular resettlement.
Katharina holds a Master’s degree in Global Migration (MSc) from the University College London, where she specialised in European migration policies, human rights and gendered aspects of forced migration. She also has a Bachelor in European Studies (BA) from Maastricht University, with a focus on migration and foreign policies. Before joining the EPC in May 2017, Katharina worked for the Odysseus Academic Network for Immigration and Asylum Law and Policy, based at the Université Libre Bruxelles, on issues related to the legal aspects of the reform of the Common European Asylum System. Katharina is also co-founder of Lagrange Points asbl, an association that aims to make Arabic literature and culture more accessible to the Brussels population.
