OFFICE ASSISTANT 





The European Policy Centre is a not-for-profit, independent think tank that works on many different policy areas with the ultimate goal of supporting European integration. We are looking for a dedicated person to help us strengthen our operations team. The role will support the EPC team with reception services, general management of the EPC offices, and support to operational processes. Specific tasks will include, but not be limited to: 

  • Front desk reception: Welcoming and accommodating visitors for meetings 
  • Office maintenance and keeping an overview of the office set up, ensuring all common areas are tidy and attractive, monitoring and ordering office supplies, and equipment maintenance (via the providers) 
  • Technical support: helping the EPC team with computer-related issues, and liaising with the IT maintenance provider \Setting up regular meeting calls, and taking minutes in selected team meetings.  
  • Ad hoc tasks for the Operations Team  

Skills and competences 

  • Confident, outgoing person with a positive ‘can do’ attitude  
  • Well organised  
  • Shared values especially on gender equality, diversity and inclusion 
  • Basic note-taking and/or editing of minutes from AI recordings 
  • Basic skills in MSOffice and willingness to learn more 
  • Basic troubleshooting skills including in relation to simple office IT problems 

Requirements: 

  • Organised, punctual with good time management and communication skills 
  • Problem solver with a proactive attitude who is not afraid to ask for help or suggest changes 
  • Competent English speaker, good French or Dutch an asset 
  • Good team player who can fit into a multinational team 
  • Higher education diploma (technical/administrative subjects) 
  • Enjoys managing spaces and developing project management skills 


Start date:  As soon as possible  

This is an entry level assistant position. The contract will be under the Convention Immersion Professionelle (CIP) with a compensation of 1,175 Euros per month.
