In a challenging geopolitical context marked by new and protracted conflicts, humanitarian and natural disasters, and major demographic shifts, strengthening the governance of migration while meeting the needs of people on the move as well as receiving societies has become only more of a priority, in Europe and globally.

At the start of a new EU institutional cycle, the European Policy Centre is delighted to invite you to this hybrid Policy Dialogue with IOM Director General Amy Pope. Questions to be addressed include: How can migration governance be strengthened against shifting but also conflicting policy and funding priorities? How can IOM best support EU member states in promoting both labour migration opportunities and regular pathways, considering efforts to reduce irregular migration? What approach should be pursued to address the consequences of climate change on mobility? How can data and research be used to inform migration policymaking at a time of greater polarisation and disinformation?

Following the discussion, attendees are invited to join a reception at the EPC’s premises.

Participation is open to EPC members only, the media, and EU officials.
