Sofía López Piqueres is a Climate and Energy Policy Analyst within the Sustainable Prosperity for Europe Programme. Some of her main research interests include EU environmental and climate policies, energy policy and EU foreign policy. 
 
Prior to joining the EPC, Sofía worked as Teaching and Research Assistant at the Department of EU International Relations and Diplomacy of the College of Europe (2016-2019). In addition to that, she has completed a Schuman traineeship at the European Parliamentary Research Service and a graduate scheme at the Department of European Affairs of the Spanish Congress of Deputies.

She holds a BA in International Relations from the Complutense University of Madrid and a MA in European Interdisciplinary Studies from the College of Europe.
