Dr Katsiaryna Lozka is a Joint Research Fellow at the Egmont Institute and the European Policy Centre since September 2025.
Katsiaryna holds a PhD in Political Science (on the politics of violence and resistance in Belarus and Ukraine) from Ghent University, an MA in EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies from the College of Europe in Bruges, and an MA in European Studies from Comenius University in Bratislava. Previously, she was a research fellow at the University of Oxford’s Belarus Observatory, the German Marshall Fund of the US, and a visiting researcher at the University of Vienna and the University of Tartu.
Her research interests include politics in Eastern Europe and international actors' policies towards the region. She is also part of the editorial board of the Belarusian Voices series published by Ibidem Press and is affiliated as a postdoctoral researcher with the Department of Political Science at KU Leuven.
