Karina Smreková is a Programme Assistant within the European Migration and Diversity Programme at the European Policy Centre.
Prior to joining the EPC, Karina was a Policy Assistant for Migration and Social Inclusion at Eurodiaconia, where she contributed to advocacy and research on migration, Roma inclusion, homelessness, and child poverty. She also completed a Blue Book Traineeship at the European Commission in the Schengen Governance unit of the Directorate-General for Migration and Home Affairs (DG HOME), where she supported evaluations and monitoring of compliance with the Schengen acquis.
Karina holds a master’s degree in Human Rights and Humanitarian Action with a specialisation in migration from Sciences Po Paris and a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and European Politics from Masaryk University in Brno.
