Karina Smreková is a Junior Policy Analyst within the Health and Societal Resilience programme at the European Policy Centre. She works on EU social policy, with a particular focus on labour markets, demographic change, housing, gender equality, including women’s health, and the implementation of the European Pillar of Social Rights.

Previously, Karina was a Programme Assistant within the EPC’s European Migration and Diversity programme. Prior to joining the EPC, she worked as a Policy Assistant for Social Inclusion and Migration at Eurodiaconia, where she contributed to advocacy and research on migration, integration and inclusion, social policy, and housing. She also completed a Blue Book Traineeship at the European Commission.

Karina holds a master’s degree in Human Rights and Humanitarian Action from Sciences Po Paris and a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and European Politics from Masaryk University in Brno.
