Towards a Win-Win Package Deal and More Effective Decision-making in a Union Faced with Disruptive Change
In chapter 11 of the book “European Futures: Challenges and Crossroads for the European Union of 2050”, Johannes Greubel and Fabian Zuleeg analyse the current state of the EU, arguing that whereas progress has been made in a lot of areas during the past years, there is still a lot of unfinished business and fundamental challenges that member states need to address. In order to counter those challenges, the EU27 need to agree on a win-win package deal in many policy areas and improve the EU’s decision-making system.
