As Ukraine advances towards EU membership, the prospective opening of Cluster 5 “Resources, Agriculture and Cohesion” marks an important step in its accession process. Closer EU–Ukraine economic cooperation and more integrated agri-food value chains offer opportunities to strengthen Europe’s food security, competitiveness and economic resilience, while fostering shared growth.
Jointly organised by the European Policy Centre (EPC) and the Ukraine Facility Platform (UAFP), this Policy Dialogue will bring together policymakers, industry representatives and experts from Ukraine and the EU to explore how Ukraine’s agri-food potential can help achieve these goals. The discussion will examine opportunities for joint investment, innovation and industrial partnerships while identifying the policy, regulatory and economic conditions needed to develop viable projects and support Ukraine’s integration into the EU internal market.
