EVENT
The European Policy Centre is delighted to invite you to this online Policy Dialogue, organised jointly by the EPC’s Sustainable Prosperity for Europe programme and the Connecting Europe Project.
As global power dynamics shift and multilateralism faces mounting strain, the G20’s role as a platform for collective leadership, particularly on climate and environment, is being put to the test. Amid uncertainty over future US engagement and growing competition among global powers, the need for strong and adaptable leadership has become a defining question.
Ahead of the G20 Leaders’ Summit on 22–23 November, this discussion will explore the G20’s role in advancing international cooperation on climate and environmental governance, and the EU’s role within it. It will unpack the outcomes of the South African presidency while assessing their implications for EU–Africa partnerships and the EU’s potential to exercise leadership amid growing global contestation.
Participation is open to EPC members, Connecting Europe partners, the media and EU officials
