EVENT
On 3 December, the European Commission released its new economic security doctrine, setting out a consolidated framework for how the EU identifies and addresses economic security risks in an era of systemic shocks, geopolitical rivalry, economic coercion and rapid technological change. Europe’s limited role in recent discussions on issues such as critical raw materials and semiconductor export controls has underlined the importance of moving towards a more coherent, credible and effective approach to economic security.
This Hybrid Policy Dialogue, featuring a keynote presentation by Deputy Director-General of DG TRADE Denis Redonnet on the new package, will provide an early opportunity to examine the doctrine, assess its implications for European industry and competitiveness, and explore how existing and new tools can be deployed coherently, credibly and at scale.
This event welcomes the participation of EPC member organisations, EU institutions and media. For media enquiries, please contact media@epc.eu.
