As a founding member and host country of both the EU and NATO, Belgium makes a meaningful contribution to collective defence efforts and security cooperation in Europe. The country is on a path to strengthen its defence capabilities and technologies in line with the 2025 Strategic Vision for Defence.

Minister Theo Francken will give a keynote speech, followed by a discussion on how Belgium is strengthening its defence industrial base, the impact of the changing US-Europe relationship, and ongoing peace efforts in Ukraine.
