EVENT
The European Policy Centre (EPC) is delighted to invite you to this hybrid Policy Dialogue, organised by the EPC’s Sustainable Prosperity for Europe programme and supported by the European Investment Bank.
European businesses and households continue to face high energy costs, undermining both economic competitiveness and social wellbeing across the EU. While the Draghi report notes that decarbonisation can help lower prices and support climate objectives, the path to affordable clean energy is not straightforward. Following the February 2025 release of the Affordable Energy Action Plan and with the implementation of the Social Climate Fund on the horizon, questions about scaling investment for the clean transition remain central for both businesses and households.
This Policy Dialogue will examine the challenges and opportunities for lowering energy costs for European businesses and households while advocating decarbonisation and the clean energy transition. It will examine the prospects for EU, national and private investments, the role of blended finance and advisory mechanisms, and how taxation and price signals can accelerate the uptake of clean, affordable energy across Europe.
This event welcomes the participation of EPC member organisations, EU institutions, elected officials and media. For questions, please contact media@epc.eu.
