Dr Paula Franklin is a Policy Analyst in the Social Europe & Well-Being Programme since September 2016. She has professional experience in researching health care and public health, including data collection and analysis of leadership approaches in the UK National Health Services, developing patient safety guidelines for European hospitals, analysing governance of European health strategies, and most recently developing health aspects of the work of an independent EU Agency. She has also been involved in the World Health Organisation (WHO) Health in All Policies (HiAP) training initiative. She is currently Honorary Fellow at the School of Medicine, Pharmacy and Health at Durham University, UK.
Paula conducted a post-doctoral research project into the governance of European Health strategies by the European Commission DG SANTE and the World Health Organisation Regional Office for Europe (2012-2015), she holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from University of Surrey Roehampton, London (2006-2009), and a Master’s Degree in Adult Education from University of Helsinki.
Implementing EPC’s Coalition for Health and Ethics in Society (CHES) activities, and developing EPC’s health activities as part of the Social Europe Programme.
