Unfinished business: what is needed to strengthen EMU governance?

18 September 2015

In June, the European Commission published the 5-Presidents’ report, setting out its plans to deepen the Economic and Monetary Union (EMU). The reported aims are to complete the unfinished project of EMU, but what does that mean in practice for member states and EU Institutions? Valdis Dombrovskis, Vice-President for the Euro and Social Dialogue, European Commission, spoke at a Breakfast Policy Briefing, to address these questions and set out the Commission’s plans in the coming months.
