Amanda Paul participated in a workshop in Brussels on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, in which Armenian, Azerbaijani and EU experts discussed confidence-building and peace-keeping. The workshop was organised by LINKS (Dialogue, Analysis and Research) and the European Policy Centre in the framework of the EU supported EPNK programme.

Claire Dhéret spoke at an event organised by the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, on progressive and creative practice for workplace innovation. She presented the main global trends on the labour market and highlighted ongoing and future policy implications for the EU.

EPC Chief Executive and Chief Economist Fabian Zuleeg spoke at Ibec's event 'Irish business in a changed world – new challenges in a new reality' on 6 December in Brussels. The event opened discussion on the new challenges facing Irish business following the decision of the British electorate to leave the EU on 23 June and the recent election of Donald Trump in the United States. 


Migration related issues

Over the last decade and more particularly the last couple of months, the EU has faced the development of increasing conflicts on migration related issues. The situation has raised such a level of struggles that bringing back equilibrium in such a conflicting environment will be a hard task for all players and at all stages. However, if EU leaders are unable to take the appropriate political decisions and actions, the EU integration process will simply be at risk.
