Events Traineeship

The European Policy Centre - a leading Brussels-based think tank - is seeking a dynamic trainee to work in its busy Conference Centre. The Trainee Events Assistant will be part of a small team in the Events & Administration Department and will work under the direct supervision of the Events Executive. This is a hands-on traineeship with the opportunity to work in an international environment.

Main skills and attributes required

  • Previous experience/training in events organisation / banqueting
  • Service-oriented and outgoing with good social skills
  • Practically-oriented with an eye for detail
  • Pro-active and able to work autonomously
  • Ability to work to deadlines and to multi-task
  • Basic knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Must be a team player
  • Fluency in English and French (other languages are a plus)
  • Flexibility and the capacity to adapt /problem-solving

Start date: 1 March 2018

Duration: 6 months

Remuneration: Trainee allowance (exact figure to be discussed)

Working hours: Monday-Friday from 9.00-17.45, but some flexibility is required.
