In the last decade, the need for affordable housing has drastically increased with more people coming from more diverse backgrounds facing housing exclusion. While housing costs as a percentage of disposable income have generally decreased, this is not the case for the most vulnerable members of society. Thus, it is essential to better understand who is being left out by the market, how and why the situation varies from one member state (or even region) to another,  and  the different policies and instruments  in place across the EU to address this social challenge.

This first Task Force meeting will address these questions and the discussion will serve as a basis for future meetings.
